Snow in April?

I'm ready to get the sailboat in the water, new winch for raising the main, new track stop to make reefing easier, new coating in the bilge, and some paint to make it all pretty. Starting April 1 we can launch the boat but now they are calling for 5" to 8" of snow tomorrow. Crazy! I guess it's time to button up the boat again and wait another week or two.

On the bright side we have some really fun trips planned this year. Starting with a week on the Chesapeake Bay with our friends Bruce and Karen in July. I then scheduled to take the ASA 106 on the DelMarVa loop which starts in Rock Hall, goes north out through the Delaware Bay, sails down the coast to Norfolk VA, and then comes up the Bay back to Rock Hall. Always trying to improve my sailing abilities. Lastly, we have a week bareboat charter in Puerto Rico through the Passage Islands (aka Spanish Virgin Islands) in late November/early December.

In the meantime, lots of reading and hoping for a break in the weather. Happy Sailing!
