Cape May Weekend

No sailing this weekend but a nice stop at our favorite B&B and a quick tour around the harbor in our kayaks. Cape May is one of the stops down the Intercostal Waterway and a rest point before you have to cross the dreaded Delaware Bay. We did Cape May frugally this year, if that's possible. Ruth and I opted for a less expensive room and had dinner at the bar our last night. Only $65 with tip and we were full and pleasantly happy with the drinks. Our first night we ate at George's and had great Greek Food for only $60! We did have one expensive dinner out instead of our usual 3. Great weekend and we spent a lot less than we normally would. The difference goes into the boat kitty!

Here's Ruth ready to go with her classic "chicken wing" stance. This is the public ramp at the north end of Cape May and was pretty busy. I'm also trying out my new GPS on the orange boat. That's a iPad with a life jacket and small GPS unit.
Small sailboat on a mooring outside the canal. Doesn't look windy but the back bay was a little rough today.
Ready to go cruising?

Whale watching boat out of the marina. You will mostly see dolphins but they do see an occasional whale in the summer and fall.
Nice view down the harbor.
That's my Island Packet
