Happy to report that Turtle's Krawl has been launched for the 2017 season. Ruth and I rigged her up two weekends ago and actually had our first sail of 2017 last Sunday. Not much wind, but it was great to get back out on the boat.

We must be getting better at this because we only had to step the mast once and it went pretty smoothly. We've learned a couple of rigging tips for setting up:
- Loosen the back stay so that it's easier to install the front stay. Once the front stay is on, tighten the back stay.
- Don't forget to add the messenger line to the roller furling halyard. I've forgotten to do this in the past and you have no choice but to lower the mast.
- Check the shrouds and hold them tight agains't the mast so that the connection to the mast doesn't move.
- Take your time!
Have a good season everyone! It's off to the shad festival this weekend so probably no sailing until next weekend.
