Finally got a chance to launch the boat! Here we are loaded up and ready to go.

Loaded up and heading to the lake. |
It's always fun trying to get the ball to line up on the hitch, but we did it. I think the mechanism we have is really old and it's time for a new one. Beautiful day once we got to the lake, still lots of empty slips.
This is the first time we did this on a Saturday, and there were several other boats rigging up. Things went pretty well with the new rolling furling, the only mistake I made was not making sure the tag end of the new halyard was fastened towards the bottom of the mast. We had the mast up and I couldn't lower the halyard. So, down came the mast and we got to do everything twice.
I'm not great at backing up the trailer, but we did manage and here's the boat safely in the slip.
As you can see, I don't have any neighbors yet. The boat came in perfectly and my docking skills weren't too rusty. Everything completed and ready before the thunderstorms scheduled for the day. Now, just need to find the time to sail. I suggested sailing on Mother's Day to my first mate, my wife Ruth, but she didn't get an excited look on her face, so it will have to be next weekend.
